Showcasing Best-in-Class Future Banking Technologies

In 2016, we received a brief from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai. The objective was to reimagine the physical space at Emirates Towers, positioned as the 'center of innovation,' to showcase futuristic banking technologies. We had a tight timeline of 90 days to bring the space to life for the inauguration by His Highness. What We Did: Given the urgency and the unique nature of the project, we formed an 80-member cross-functional team, including representatives from procurement, IT, products, multi-channels, digital, and marketing teams across the bank. Collaboration with technology giants like Mastercard, VISA, SAP, and Amazon was crucial in developing compelling futuristic use cases that depicted the future of banking. Result: We successfully delivered a fully functional retail space, functioning as a branch, while also serving as a platform to showcase future technologies and services. The space consistently achieved a high Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 9.0. On November 2, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed inaugurated the space, and it received a warm acceptance from the leadership team.
